The Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary situated near Bhira kheri and Mailani in Tarai region, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is covered an area of 227 km2 and was founded in 1972. Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary is a part of the Dudhwa Tiger Resrve. In 1988, when Dudhwa become a part of Tiger project, the area of Kishanpur Sanctuary was added to create the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve. about 1800 and above Barasingha are to be found in the reserve and majestic herds are especially seen in the grassy wetlands of kakraha and jhadi tal block.

The red-crested pochard, mallard, dabchick, grebe, common pochard, Pintail, shoveller, river tern, the white-eyed pochard, spoonbill, egret, snakebird, heron, black-necked stork and many other avian species frequent the Tal. Visitors have frequently spotted herds of chetal, barasingha or playfull other prancing about Jhadi Tal.It is the tiger is often elusive and although Sharada Beat, around Jhadi Tal, is a known hotspot, a glimpse of this majestic striped cat is entirely a matter of chance.

The entrance gate of Kishanpur Sanctuary zone is Kattaiya village gate, which is around 20 Km from Dudhwa National Park and 5 Km from Bhira town, the nearest which is also the railway station and bus stand from the zone. The safari for Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary zone is organized throughout the 8 Months and two shifts in a day with the maximum of 20 jeeps in a shift.
